Nazareth vs Revealer?

Nazareth: Protect cards in your territory and hand from shuffle by an opponent. Protect all decks from search abilities.

Revealer: When you draw this card, each opponent must reveal the top two cards of his draw pile. Place each revealed Lost Soul in owner's Land of Bondage. Place the rest beneath owner's draw pile.

Is revealing the same as searching?

Is Susanna's ability a search ability?

Susanna: Look at the top X cards of deck. May add one to hand. Place the rest beneath deck. Cannot be negated.

I'm guessing yes, since the play as says search, but some people were saying to disregard play as.

Play As: Search the top X cards of deck for any one card. Holder may place it in hand. Place the rest beneath deck. Cannot be negated.

yes, we now have the freedom to disregard play as as we see fit.

Again one of the hardships Mike B. has to face when trying to correlate this game with the monsterous REG. Can we just take a moment to thank Mike on all the hard work he done to make this thing work? Thank you Mr. Berkenpas.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

What about Eve vs Nazareth?

Eve: Reveal the top X cards of deck. Add to hand all revealed humans. Eve ignores female Evil Characters.

It seems weird that Eve would work but Susanna would not, but that's what I'm leaning toward.

I agree with Eve would and Susanna would not, bad wording is bad.

I think they work. Susanna isn't a search ability. It is "look at some cards from your deck and take one" ability.

I would consider that a search ability, even though it's just not searching the entire deck.

Susanna doesn't show your opponent what you're looking at, it's a search ability.
Vs. Eve who reveals the cards.

I agree. It is a non-traditional search ability, but you are doing the same thing as a Search ability, just in the top X cards.

Hey,

There has been some consideration towards making "Look at" a separate ability from "Search."  But we have not yet made that happen.  Look at is currently just a search ability with different wording.

I don't see any reason why they would need to be different. They provide essentially the same function, and if Nazareth is able to limit Susanna, more power to it.

Then I'm going to "look at the top 48 cards" of my 56-card deck and play them all at the same time. I win.
