Two questions from yesterday's playgroup meeting

Question 1:  Booster Draft:  I rescued with a gold hero, and was blocked by some Emperor.  I had inititative, and played Entertaining Angels, to band in another player's Gabriel.  I searched his deck and removed an evil enhancement.  Finally, when he had inititative, he played something that said interrupt the battle and return a NT hero to territory?  My gold hero was NT so he had to go back.

The question was whether the "interrupt the battle" also interrupted "entertaining angels" so that Gabriel didn't stay in battle and my opponent's EE would go back into their deck?  We weren't sure if Gabriel was allowed to stay in battle or not.

Question 2:  Banding to Uzzah.  My opponent rescues with Jairus' Daughter, whom I believe is 4/3.  I block with Lot's wife (3/3), and band to his Uzzah.  I discard one of my artifacts and discard Uzzah to (hopefully) make it so my opponent cannot get a lost soul this turn.  But because Lot's Wife is still in battle, and the battle is mutual destruction, opponent then play's Cymbals of the Levites and chooses to negate Lot's Wife banding ability.  Does this mean that Uzzah comes back from the discard pile to my opponent's territory, I get my artifact back, Lot's Wife dies (because I have no EE for her), and my opponent gets a lost soul?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, ItB would interrupt Entertaining Angels and send the Gold Hero back, which would effectively make it as if Gabe had never been in battle. So Gabe would be forced to retreat, and the EE would return to your deck.

Yes. Negating a band makes it as if the banded character was never in battle, so the battle would resume as if Uzzah had never left your opponent's territory.

No, because Gabe could never have been in battle, since EA was interrupted and couldn't reactivate due to having no one in battle to activate on.
