ok, so Namaan was converted by Meeting the Messiah to a gold brigade hero. he then makes a rescue attempt, against a guy with Namaan in his territory. can he block Namaan with his Namaan?
also, do sites count as "good brigades" as they have brigades that are good? I.E. the more then 3 lost soul says "If opponent has more then three good brigades in play..." do sites count towards this?
and finally, in T2, can Hur choose to rescue a soul that was drawn?

Short and sweet.
No.
No.
No.

Short and sweet.
No. I was right...
No. I figured as much, but still, it was worth a shot...
No. I still don't understand this. why not? can't War Officer choose a lost soul in a site even though his ability is the only thing allowing him to?
-
It was my understanding that in type II you have to establish the ls you want to rescue right at the beginning of battle. So I don't think you can choose after his ability completes. But since I'm a type II n00b, I could be wrong.

Why can't "my" Namaan block my "opponent's" Namaan?
Quotation marks differentiates who is controlling them to make sure I'm understanding the first question right.

which is why I was ruled against. the control is different. but it's still the same unique character in battle.

this is true. but is a character in battle before or after his ability completes? and why do access to any site people get the chance to rescue, when Hur and Woman at the Well do not?

The short answer is because there was a long discussion about this two years ago in this May. That's what Rob decided.

Wow. I'm glad this was asked, since I'm about to hold my first ever Type 2 event. I did not know about this ruling, either. Of course, I probably ignored the thread at the time since I had no interest in a Type 2 discussion. ;)

Wait what? When are you holding a t2 event?
Btw to "Hur" I can tell you thats a no. XD But hur is SO fun!

Why can't "my" Namaan block my "opponent's" Namaan?
Because the paradox involved with a person meeting hisself would cause a rift in the space-time continuum. Such rifts contribute to neither fun nor fellowship. ;)

Hey,
Which lost soul you are trying to rescue is a decision you make before you enter battle. In the case of Hur or Woman at the Well, before they enter battle the soul they generate is not in play, thus it cannot be selected.
You do not have to have access to the soul you select when you select it. So in the case of War Officer, you can chose a soul you don't have access to, start a battle challenge with War Officer for that soul, and then when his ability kicks in it becomes a rescue attempt.

I almost spit out my cereal in laughter when I read that last sentnce. Cheerios, milk, and Kashi Go Lean don't play nice with keyboards.

That is still in the works, although I should have an answer today. I am looking at either March 20th or 27th for a District tournament, which requires a minimum of four events. I was going to include a Type 2 category as one of them. I am just waiting for the Weiss' to confirm which day is best since one of those weeks they have prior obligations.

Pick March 20th. Ken4Christ4ever is hosting a Districts that day, and I want to see how many Districts can be held on my birthday :P

This is correct, as anyone who has seen ST:TOS "The Alternative Factor" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Alternative_Factor) would know :)
