My Lord and My God vs. The Gates of Hell
« on: August 21, 2010, 04:37:51 PM »

I start a rescue attempt. My opponent uses The Gates of Hell to discard the bottom card of his deck, which is an orange demon, so he puts it in play. He then blocks with that demon. I have initiative, and I play My Lord and My God to negate and discard TGoH. I assume that the demon in battle is placed back beneath deck, and if so, does my opponent get a chance to negate my enhancement?

You are correct.
My question wasn't exactly a yes or no question, so I assume you mean that the demon does go back, and the opponent does get to interrupt, correct*?

*Worded as a yes or no question. ;)

You can't use MLaMG because TGoH is in set aside

Translation: My Lord and My God CAN discard an evil card in a set aside area.  :)

I'm still curious. Who's idea was it to give the brigade with AoCP two cards that can discard protection forts?  :-\

You're right, never being able to block really is improving the game

Well,  ::) they are improving the hero brigades seemingly one by one, so I would think that upon completion of the hero brigades, they'd move onto the evil brigades.  In that line of thinking, the game is improving, slowly but surely, one brigade at a time.  Plus, good always wins in the end ;)

But alas, we are not always free from stumbling blocks and spiritual questioning.

And since when is Green a "no-block" brigade?

I'd like to show you this card, it's called Lampstand of the Sanctuary, perhaps you've heard of it?

There's this guy, his name's Aaron. He's kinda awesome.

(yes, I know Hidden Treasures is not a Tabernacle Artifact. The point remains for Lampstand, though.)

If you're not using the Teal/Green Aaron, you're doing it wrong.
