multiple unique characters question

I'm pretty sure the answers to all of these questions is no, but here it goes anyway:

1.  I have a captured Moses in my land of bondage, can I capture another Moses or put my own Moses in territory?

2.  I have a redeemed Moses is my land of redemption, can I capture another Moses? Can I put my own Moses in my territory?

3.  I have a unique evil character set-aside, can I put another of that same evil character into my territory?

1. You can capture another Moses, you just have to discard one of them. I don't think you can put one in your territory from hand (I know that has been disallowed before), but I'm not 100% sure.

2. Yes. Cards in your Land of Redemption don't affect any aspect of the game except the score (except for the Anti-Burial LS).

3. This depends on the answer to 1b, but I think this is also a "no".

The duplicate card rule specifies that you can not "control" duplicates. Are you controlling a captured hero? I would have thought that you were not.

This is not dependent on 1b. The duplicate card rule applies to set-aside (and face-down, too).

1.a Yes
1.b No
2. Yes
3. No
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

What is the rationale for 1b being "no?" (All the rest I agree)

You are controlling the captured Moses, so you cannot bring a duplicate into your control via playing from hand or banding. Dungeon of Malciah is commonly used on T2 to lock out unique characters.

I guess we are going to have to create a new definition of "control," then, since the current Glossary does not indicate that you can control a Lost Soul. (not that I disagree with you)

It also doesn't directly indicate that you can control anything but a character. I don't think anyone would argue that you control artifacts, sites, fortresses and enhancements, though.

Quote from: REG link=http://redemptionreg.com/REG/gloss_control.htm
Control

You control a character when you are using it. You can control a character that you do not own. This happens when you band to an opponent’s character and use it in battle. You also control a character when your opponent forces you to use a character that you do not own.
Basically, the word "character" should just be replaced by the word "card". Then it would all make sense.

No, game rules restrict add to battle abilities from adding an additional unique character under your control.  The cliche example is if I've got James/John, I can't band to your John with my James.
