We're still very confused on these cards. For example, yesterday I had the "Cannot be Prevented" Lost Soul in play, and opponent activated "I am Salvation".
1) We assumed that if it is face up it is "being used", right (even if there are no lost souls in play)? In other words, owner cannot say "I'm not using it this turn even though it's face up."
2) After it has been used twice (for two rounds), then what happens to it? I thought that all these "Used Twice" cards get discarded afterward, but the card does not say to do that. If they DON'T automatically get discarded, then it leads to question 3....
3) If it's NOT discarded after being played twice, then is a covenant still "in play" for purposes of negating my "Cannot be prevented" lost soul? We ruled that it did not seem right to have a covenant that has been "used up" still affecting the ability of this lost soul, but this might have been wrong.
4) Cards like this that say "used twice", if they get shuffled back into the deck after being used once (or even twice in scenario 3) "reset" back to zero, correct?
5) We forgot the ruling on cards like Assyria's tribute, 30 pieces of Silver, Wastelands, and other "used twice" cards - Are those being "used" just by nature of being face up, or do their abilities actually have to be used to be "used twice"?
Thanks for your help!
