In Multiplayer does the 2nd player still draw two or does that rule only apply for 2 player
They just aren't doing this at all in MP? Are they planning to do something similar if this works out in 2P?

How is it slap-jacky?
Perhaps "Intro-prep" could follow the same order as turns do. So basically you'd get a pre-game turn to play cards if you wanted, but no battle phase, draw phase, etc.
There will be a trial run of the intro-prep phase in ROOT later this year/next year, though, so perhaps it can be refined.

I do agree that there will need to be some sort of order for this to avoid "slap-jack"
Oh, I was going on what Gabe announced during the awards ceremony at Nats, where he said that there would be 3x 4-month trial periods: 4-month test of the second player drawing 3, a 4-month test of the intro-prep phase, then a 4-month test of both being used. Have plans changed?
