In Multiplayer does the 2nd player still draw two or does that rule only apply for 2 player

It's actually draw three.  In 2 player games, the second player now gets to draw 3 cards on their first turn.

They just aren't doing this at all in MP? Are they planning to do something similar if this works out in 2P?

Probably not
Then I think MP should adopt intro-prep.

There are too many logistical issues with the intro-prep, as it would be very slap-jacky.  There will be a trial run of the intro-prep phase in ROOT later this year/next year, though, so perhaps it can be refined.

How is it slap-jacky?

Perhaps "Intro-prep" could follow the same order as turns do. So basically you'd get a pre-game turn to play cards if you wanted, but no battle phase, draw phase, etc.

Certain cards counter other cards, so one might wait to see what others do to counter them.
- If you wait until I activate Unholy Writ, you might then activate your Covenant of Palestine.
- If I put Household Idols up, you then activate Covenant of Moses to counter it.
- You wait until I activate (anything), then you activate Captured Ark.
- You wait until I put Raider's Camp or Go into Captivity in play to put Obadiah's Caves down.

Perhaps "Intro-prep" could follow the same order as turns do. So basically you'd get a pre-game turn to play cards if you wanted, but no battle phase, draw phase, etc.

Perhaps, but that's not the way it was previously presented, and would simply delay the game by a turn.

Strategically speaking you could wait til your turn to turn up your shafty artifacts and such, the other thing is you could just take turns (starting with the first or second player) to put down stuff, but I don't know if its really necessary to have it (but in T2 games it makes little difference, I think)

This isn't for sure actually, although I hope that we will test it out.  I do agree that there will need to be some sort of order for this to avoid "slap-jack" :)

Maybe it can go in order starting with whoever would go second, around the table, and then end with whoever goes first.  That way, the person who has three LS and none to one EC and is going last can at least try to stop the walk ins.

They would have to play with defense though.  ANd the only place that plays with defense anymore from what I can tell is the midwest!

Oh, I was going on what Gabe announced during the awards ceremony at Nats, where he said that there would be 3x 4-month trial periods: 4-month test of the second player drawing 3, a 4-month test of the intro-prep phase, then a 4-month test of both being used.  Have plans changed?

That's what we originally talked about based on a false impression we had about Rob's stance on intro-prep.  After talking to him at Nationals, in addition to the fact that many other people don't like the idea of intro-prep, we no longer plan to implement that in ROOT.

Sorry for the miscommunication.
