Question about the new CoW Moses and how he interacts with lost souls.

In my opinion Moses would negate most lost souls but there are a couple of exceptions. The first would obviously be the double lost soul but I also don't believe he negates the hopper. The hopper says when drawn place in opponents LoB. To me that means I draw the card to my hand and then place in someone else's territory where it is negated. But what on that special ability could be reversed? Undrawing it? It was never in my territory so why should it go there?

The other confusing card is the revealer. It also has an ability that activates when drawn. But when it's placed in territory it's negated. So in my opinion it should reveal the two cards and then put them right back on top.

Thoughts?

Negated lost souls are simply treated as no special ability lost souls going straight to your land of bondage when drawn. Only the liner souls/cbp soul are cbn.

That's my point. The lost soul is not negated by Moses until it's placed in a land of bondage. Moses ability specifically says lost souls in territories. This is further illustrated by the new CoW lost souls that say "if this lost soul is placed in a territory"

Clearly the hopper can be negated but what is being negated when it is placed in your opponents territory? Also along this line of thought, what happens when the new dragon raid enters battle? Does the hopper move to your territory for the remainder of the battle and then return when the battle is concluded?

That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. The new Moses really shuts down the game. Between him and coliseum nothing is going to work the same any more.

Nothing that Christian Martyr or Shipwreck couldn't fix.

Christian martyr hardly stops Moses. There are too many ways to list to bring him back. And now that he works with obadiahs cave good luck doing anything else to him. Moses will rule the game soon.

Moses negates Paying Taxes, unless Denarius is in play.  A better way to negate Lampstand in order to play evil Doms is Cornelius.

don't get me wrong, new moses is very strong. however, if moses is wrecking you chances are your deck is not built to accommodate to cloud cards or a fbtn offense (which has existed since warriors) in general.

also, take into consideration the amount of liabilities new moses presents.

more brigades, new cbp/cbn battle winners and evil characters which specifically are enhanced by this -also if your punisher lost soul is out before moses is out punisher lost soul will negate moses..
he's a cloud hero.. and so are a ton of the new great heroes which all make jericho absurdly good
he negates your own tc enh and lost souls, which makes a player who is playing the new moses unable to be dependent on lost soul abilities and unable to play tc enh unless they themselves have holy of holies or thorns and thistles which doesn't get taken out

these are just a few examples, but chances are like i said if your deck cannot stand up to the new moses you probably would have a hard time against a fbtn offense too from a few years ago and a fbtn moses from before the cloud of witnesses

all that said, holy of holies is just a great card. lampstand and holy of holies can both be tutored by eli the priest, or temple dedication. you can also protect these valuable artifacts with the glory of the Lord promo which is a fantastic addition to any tabernacle or solomon's temple deck.
