Mayhem vs. LS Protect

If I make a succesful block with something like Uzzah or Belshazzars Banquet, protecting lost souls in play from rescue, then if someone plays Mayhem while his hero is still in battle and I draw another LS can he rescue it? The lost soul that I drew would not have been in play when I made a sucessful block.

Once the Lost Soul enters play it falls under the umbrella of protection that Uzzah or BB offers.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

+1 100%, but if you used DoU and then Opponent plays Mayhem and you draw a Soul, he can rescue it. Just to note about that.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

Well, of course, but the thread only pertained to protection, which is ongoing and continuously updating to the new 'targets'.  ;)

I'm also assuming this only pertains to abilities that protect "all" of something.

If a card said protect 3 lost souls from rescue, and you had 2 lost souls out, you wouldn't be able to protect a third one that came out later, or am I wrong in my assumption?
If you are reading this signature, thank a physicist.

Correct.  If it protects 3 lost souls, then the targets must be chosen when the ability activates, and you must do as much as possible so it will protect the two souls you have out.  After the third soul comes out, the targets have already been chosen and you can't re-choose the targets.
