So if I have either a NT human EC or Hero in battle, and they are targeted for discard by opponent, and I use Herod's temple ability and "instead the discard," the hero/EC are still in battle fighting on, correct?

Herod's Temple (Di)
Type: Fortress • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: If your N.T. human is discarded by a special ability used by an opponent, you may discard a card of matching brigade from hand and the top X cards of your deck instead. Put Lost Souls in play instead. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Mark 13:1 • Availability: Disciples booster packs

Yep. I have used Herod's Temple to stop Angel of the Lord, Authority of Christ, and Grapes of Wrath all in the same battle. Needless to say, I won the battle.

And had a decimated hand for the next attempt :) It's a double-edged sword for sure.

I'm going to assume he had 4 souls and needed another turn to rescue for the win :)

I'd much rather give up a few EEs in order to stop two dominants and AoCP.
