My opponent attacks with Samuel  (RA2), I block with Chaldeans  (P) and play Invoking Terror  (FF2), Can he then play Ehud's Dagger  (RA) and discard it?

Yes since Ehud's Dagger says Interrupt the Battle.

Hey,

In the same way that you can interrupt and discard Joseph in Prison, even though it's removing itself from battle, you can also interrupt and discard Invoking Terror, even though it's removing itself from battle.

Tschow,

Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly

Assuming Invoking Terror is placed beneath the deck, I don't believe Ehud's Dagger can do anything about it. According to the REG (interrupt > special conditions):

Quote
The phrase “interrupt the battle includes interrupting the following:
- all active ongoing abilities
- abilities that are defeating one of the characters you control in battle
- the last enhancement played in current battle if it was played by your opponent.
Interrupt the battle only includes such abilities if they are on cards that are in battle.

With Invoking Terror out of battle, "interrupt the battle" can't do anything about it. However, an "interrupt last" like Bow and Arrow would work.

I'm actually inclined to agree with Mierz on this one (originally wrote Tim, then realized I'd need to clarify). I'm pretty sure that an interrupt the battle card doesn't stop Invoking Terror because it's no longer in battle, I think it has to be something that targets the last enhancement played or something similar.

I do see Sir Nobody's point, too. I would be satisfied either way, but I understood my way to be the more accepted way. But there's a reason that I'm just The Other Tim. In the Clash of the Tims, I'm usually the Apostles version, not the 10th Anniversary version.

I'm actually not sure if this got resolved, but iirc the "prior state" side won, as it should. Any time Special Initiative is triggered, it takes place during the state of the battle prior to whatever it is that caused the special initiative carrying one (or, pending if you will). A normal ITB or Negate would be able to stop Invoking Terror in this case.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Does that include "interrupt any in battle/in play" like Benaiah Snatches a Spear or Faith as a Mustard Seed?
