I'm not the ruling master, but I had a situation like this where artifacts that are out of play are negated and everything about them has no effect.so it wouldn't work.Also, is it true that sammy water jar can't be DONed?
This black enhancements "discards one active artifact". I noticed that it does not say "negate and discard" like Lying Unto God does.How does this work in specific situations? What are some cases where the effect artifact would still work if it is no longer in play?For example, opponent uses Temple Veil for site access. By the end of the battle the artifact has been discarded by Mask. Do the heroes still have access?Or, Three Nails is active. I block with a human and play Mask, discarding it. Can I now band a Demon into the battle?I'm sure there are a ton of other examples I could think of. Thanks for helping me understand when an artifact still works when it is no longer in play.

Thanks for helping me understand when an artifact still works when it is no longer in play.Yes to the site acess, because a phase hasn't past for the artifact's effect to fizzleNo, the artifact's effect is still active because a phase hasn't passed yet for it to fizzle.The only use a card like this really has to negate artifacts is if it was played before battle or is targeting an artifact that another special ability needs to target I.E. An Idol for woshipping demons
I meant if you played Mask before battle to discard the artifact.
Mask is good against artifacts that discard themselves to do something, otherwise just use LuG.
