Peter's Curse - Doing a worse job than Image of Jealousy at pretty much everything.

Except that Image of Jealousy can only be used by brown brigade, whereas Peter's Curse can be used by any brigade (when used as an artifact).

You don't even need a character for Peter's Curse.

So more questions:
1. the reason Priestly Breast is an "active" artifact is because of the words "on activation" and thus can be deactivated even though the "place" ability is there?
2. The reason Peter's Curse is not deactive-able is because "on activation" does not exist on Peter's Curse?
3. Then Magic Charms would be an active and deactive-able artifact because it is not a place ability and has the words "activate on" correct?

and if 3 is incorrect then I refuse to believe that these rulings aren't subjective and arbitrary....

Activated artifacts need to reactivate every round.  (Thus the "on activation" wording on some artifacts).  So:
1.) Breastplate is placed "on activation."  Thus, it needs to be activated every round, using up your art slot.
2.) Yes.  It becomes a placed card, not a curse.
3.) Magic Charms is entirely different because it has an identifier (which is "always active").  However, you may activate and deactivate it during the normal art de/active times.

Although I disagree with the idea that a placed artifact sudenly becomes not an artifact, at least there is some consistency here and I can live with it. Thank you.

Pithom holds a gold Curse the same way any of the Temples holds a Temple Artifact.
