The Amazing Abram's Army

Two questions relating to Abram's Army.

1) Can you "release a captured hero" from an opponent's territory?

2) If you rescue with King Amazing choosing King Jehoash to block and add Abram's Army, what happens if you,

A) Use Abram's Army to "release" King Amazing to negate and discard King Jehoash?

B) Use Abram's Army to "release" a hero besides King Amazing to negate and discard King Jehoash?

I think there might be an infinite loop but I want to make sure.

King Amazing:
Once per game, you may choose an evil King of Israel to block. If this Hero is captured, you may add your O.T. Hero to the battle.

King Jehoash:
Capture King Amaziah to take a Temple Artifact. First Strike. Cannot be negated if a Samaria Site is in play.

Abram's Army: You may release a captured Hero to negate and discard a single-color Site, Artifact or evil card. Cannot be interrupted by O.T. Evil Characters.

1) Yes
2A.1)If Samaria is in play, AA wins, and KA returns to your territory while KJ is CBI discarded
2A.2)If Samaria is not in play, you cannot negate yourself, so AA CBI negates and discards KJ, and is rplaced in battle by KA who then wins.
2B.1)See 2A.1, except the other hero is returned to territory, not KA who stays captured.
2B.2)See 2A.2 except the second hero is also returned to territory

Your infinite loop would happen if you could negate yourself, see also any band including Moses or any other negate-everything-and-the-kitchen-sink hero, and this was thought of and it was thus ruled you could never negate yourself.

Hey, good question! My thoughts:

1) Yes I believe you can, as well as from Raider's Camp if you wanted

2a) Because release is an instant ability, King Amazing would no longer be a captured character when King Joash is negated, so the capture could not be negated (he's already free).

2b) Since in this scenario King Amazing is still captured when Abram's Army negates King Joash, I would assume that King Amazing either goes back into battle or else to territory.

I don't believe there's an infinite loop here, but I could certainly be wrong!

Here's a follow up question. In your scenario 2A.2, what happens if you add Throne of David into the equation?

Nothing. TToD only checks for "blocking" after all character SA's have been resolved, at which point there is no blocker.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Here's a follow up question. In your scenario 2A.2, what happens if you add Throne of David into the equation?

King Amaziah would be in battle and even though King Jehoash is currently discarded and there is no evil EC in battle, KA was blocked and so Throne would fire after Abram's Army finished resolving. You would then draw X and play your purple OT enhancement. The battle would then be over if no one had any more cards they wanted to legally use.
