I don't know the logic behind it but I know you can't rescue captured demons so shouldn't it follow that you can't rescue captured angels since demons are just fallen angels?

My understanding is that theologically, not everyone agrees that demons are fallen angels, though I couldn't cite much Scripture that disproves that notion. Someone more knowledgeable can expound I'm sure, but that's my understanding on why that rule is how it is.

Captured characters don't necessarily become "evil," just held against their will. A Converted Angel is a Demon in Redemption, but not a captured one.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

That's not my point, my point is that once they are captured aren't they essentially the same type of card. Just like a human EC and a human hero captured would be the same type of card.

No, they're not. One is a captured demon, the other a captured angel.

But when one is converted they become each other even though it is impossible to convert a demon.

Hey,

Rob made the following comment when discussing the issue on the private side of the board.  I think it answers your question quite succinctly.

Quote from: CactusRob date=1268401838
Redemption is about God's creatures being restored to the family of God.  I therefore have no great theological trouble with a captured human or a captured angel being 'redeemed.'  We can look to the example of Gabriel being detained by the Prince of Persia for 21 days until Michael came to help him and infer that Gabriel was held in some type of "captured" mode.  However, if there is some provision in the grace of God for demons to be restored to His family, it has not been revealed to us.  Therefore, demons cannot be redeemed.

Tschow,

Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly
