After a card like New Jerusalem or Ark of the Covenant is used twice and thus discarded, if you put another one down, does it get its two uses?

And if not, is it discarded as well, or does it simply stay in play?  For New Jerusalem, for instance, can I play a second one and use it to hold a lost soul (if I don't want the lost soul shuffled via the Ezekiel 31:14 lost soul but have no other sites)?

I believe you are incorrect. Burial Shroud should be discarded.

by game rule used up arts get discarded and you can only use ark twice since it says twice per game. If it only said twice, then you could use another one.

^Correct. If, however, your first Ark was discarded before you got to use it twice, you could use your other Ark for the remaining uses, up to the 2 maximum.

EDIT: Related question: Do the uses count per controller or per owner? For example, if I get my opponent's Burial Shroud (via Thievery of Judas, for example), can I use it if I've already used my own Shroud twice?

I believe HG is different from Burial Shroud, right? Can't you use 3 burial shrouds in one game?

No because the one artifact wasn't used twice. It was two different ones. So it stays.

I thought that game rule was for arts only. If that is the case doubt should be discarded too but that stays in territory after it's used.
