I think the answer to this is obvious (or it should be obvious), but I figured it couldn't hurt to double check.

Does Worse than the First have an unstated errata that corrects the last part to "or, search discard pile for a generic demon" ?

I believe that Seach refers to Diana Seach, a woman who works in special education, specifically children with autism. What this implies I haven't the foggiest though. Maybe it means that we're to seek to better understand what caused the generic demon to be discarded in the first place, and help society understand it?

Well, based on the Split Altar ruling, I would say it stays as is. They only change cards if they are too powerful, not to make them do what was intended. This means the last half of the ability does nothing as "seach" is not an official term in Redemption. This might be corrected when the New REG comes out.

Can someone please explain the Split Alter ruling? I hear about it all the time but don't actually understand it.

Basically, cards default target other cards in play if they don't specify. Split Altar was intended to shuffle the artifact pile and active artifact of each opponent into deck, however since it says "all artifacts" it defaults to only targeting artifacts in play, and as such only shuffles active artifacts not artifacts face-down in the artifact pile.

There's a pretty big difference between adding "and Artifact piles" to an ability and adding an "r" where it clearly belongs. While I guess there should be errata, it would be more along the lines of The Rabshakeh Attacks' or A Child is Born's Errata.

I think "Seach" means that Sauce gets name on name bonus playing WttF on SWS. Not sure why they dubbed that term seach...
