Is Kings of the Earth (RoJ) a GENERIC evil character?
(It's not in the REG).
Thanks
-
Nope. He's Unique. I checked in both ORDIR and ORCID, and i din't see anything about him being generic.
Edit: Never mind
Kings of the Earth is listed as a generic character in the REG.

But isn't the default that it should be generic, if there is no proper title (or the word "The")?
This one really looks generic to me, because "Kings of the Earth" does not refer to any particular person.
Please advise.

Just because he’s not in there doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not generic. They may have simply forgot to add him. By the character’s nature he must be generic because he doesn’t have “The” in the title and he’s not a named, specific character. He’s a generic king of X.

I agree with Watchman. We just need an elder to confirm.
Thanks

I recall something a while ago about him being unique because the verse says "the" and because the card title is plural so it's representing the group of all kings and thus is not generic because there's only one group of all kings.

I thought the default is that it's unique and that you had to specify that it's generic. :dunno:

Kings of the Earth is listed as a generic character in the REG.
Duplicate, Generic, and Unique remained in the REG because they're more often ruling questions than targeting questions. And they're important for the deck building rules, which are in the REG.

Of course it's in the one place I didn't look. ;D

I must have an older copy of the REG, because it wasn't in mine.
I will update.
Thanks
