King Tyrus vs. Captain of the Host

This came up in a weekend game and I would like a verification of my ruling.  I RA with CotH and my opponent blocks with KoT.  CotH's SA stops KoT's SA from happening correct?

King of Tyrus:
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Orange • Ability: 10 / 12 • Class: None • Special Ability: Negate all special abilities on Characters and Enhancements (except this special ability). • Identifiers: OT Male Demon • Verse: Ezekiel 28:12 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Ultra Rare)

Captain of the Host:
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Silver • Ability: 10 / 10 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Negate all non-weapon class special abilities except banding. • Play As: Negate all special abilities on characters and enhancements (except banding, weapons, and Captain’s special abilities). • Identifiers: OT Male Angel, Prophet • Verse: Joshua 5:14 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Rare)

CotH > KoT, for reasons like:
1. victory
2. Second seal (actually depends)
and other reasons.  if no enhancements are played, however, KoT wins.

From what I understand, you are correct. Because Captain of the Host entered battle first, he would negate all special abilities on evil characters. So when King of Tyrus entered battle, he basically didn't have a special ability to use.
