Title: Kindness error card
Post by: Sadness on May 10, 2018, 07:51:19 AM
With the kindness error card being a 1/1 hero instead of a 1/1 enhancement, is it possible to use it has a yellow brigade hero? Or would it not be tournament legal?

Imo, now that symbolic is a real thing, it should be a 1/1 gold symbolic character, just for fun.

It is tournament legal, but it has errata to say that all versions are played as enhancements.

I know there was talks about this at one point in time, but I don't think it ever went anywhere.  Also with the rule changes to ignore, it isn't as strong as it used to be.  So I don't see why we couldn't just let it be played as is.

I should have been more clear - I meant that it was not tournament legal as a character.

I would think it would be a bad precedent to allow cards that are printed in error to be used erroneously. What if a "Son of God" card was printed with a "cross" icon instead of a "Lamb" icon? It was not the intention of the card to be used that way. Playing the card as the ORCID/errata seems to be the clearest fix.

The precedent would basically allow this one card to be played.  This is ultimately the only card that is considered an error that would have any play value.  Also, assuming that a Son of God would be printed with a cross would mean that the elders and creator of this game didn't notice that rather not small detail.  Not to mention they release all of their cards to the public, so I doubt that would ever happen.  Ultimately it doesn't matter, because even if they allowed it to be a 1/1 Hero that ignores Gold, I'm not sure I would even play with it.

Symbolic Heroes are pretty powerful. New Falling away can't target them and cards like Red dragon aren't even protected from them.
