Just Making Sure

1. If I use Torment to heal my EC who is holding a weapon does the weapon still get discarded?

2. I block with a demon banded to an evil character holding horses. I then play twice afflicted to go and get an EE out of my discard. Does the demon used have to be gray for twice afflicted to work?

Twice Afflicted (AW)
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gray • Ability: 2 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: If used by a demon, search discard pile for a gray brigade enhancement and play it. Prevent all special abilities that return cards to a player's hand. • Identifiers: NT, Connected with Demons

1. No, according to Your Math Teacher
2.Yes, unless the character you banded to was a gray demon because the ability states that if used by a demon... and it is a gray birgade enhancement.

1. No, the weapon is not discarded because he was not actually discarded.

2. Yes Twice Afflicted must be played on a demon that can play gray enhancements, but the enhancement you search for can be played on any EC in battle that can play gray enhancements.

Why would it fall off? They never actually hit the discard pile. They're kinda in limbo.

Heal is an interesting ability because it is an instant ability that can be applied at any time during the turn. You can play a Heal card near the end of your turn, and it is treated as if you played it at the time the character was being discarded. The idea behind a Heal card is that the character was never actually discarded. That is why healed characters retain their abilities and all cards placed on them.

YMT is correct on both counts. Matt, I wouldn't be too worried about people healing their guys with Horses...there's only one evil healing card currently that keeps the EC as an EC, and that is Torment (which is multicolored--so only one per deck, and can only save one character).

How do you get the Warned thing anyway?

Warned  You should not be asking those kinds of personal questions. Don't do it again. Otherwise, all your Redemption cards will spontaneously combust. Yes, we can do that.
