Identifier Questions

I'm working through the Reg working on my own Redemption spreadsheet, and had a couple of questions.

1. When it comes to identifiers for individual, should you use:

A. The identifiers given in the Reg for each individual card
B. The identifiers for the latest copy for all the cards
C. The identifiers that have been given to that individual at anytime

2. What do you do with identifiers that don't really make sense?  Take Jerusalem for example:

Jerusalem (Ap)

Type: Site • Brigade: Yellow • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: While blocking a rescue attempt at this site, all Chief Priests, Pharisees, and Sadducees gain 1/1. • Play As: While blocking a rescue attempt at this site, all Chief Priests, Pharisees, and Sadducees increase 1/1. • Identifiers: Israel • Verse: Acts 21:11-12 • Availability: Apostles booster packs (Common)

Chief Priests

Jerusalem (Ap) allows “Chief Priests, Pharisees, and Sadducees to gain 1/1” when blocking a rescue attempt at the site. Chief Priests were members of the leading High Priest’s families and holders of various offices relating to the priesthood. They are given the title of “Chief Priests” in the Bible.  These are the characters in Redemption that are classified as Chief Priests:

Aaron (Di), Aaron (G), Aaron (Pi), Amariah the High Priest (Pi), Azariah the High Priest (Pi), Jehoiada the High Priest (Pi), Joiada, Son of Eliashib (FF), Joiakim, Son of Joshua (FF), and Seraiah the High Priest (Pi)

This doesn't make any sense, first, because for any of the "Chief Priests" to gain 1/1 these characters would have to be converted.  Second, these characters might be "Chief Priests" but they aren't anywhere close to what the verses are talking about.  The closest thing in Redemption to the scripture in these verses would be the High Priests among the Pharisees, Sadducees & Scribes.

Question the first: C
Question the second: Chief Priests is old, outdated terminology for High Priest.
Just one more thing...

Also, that REG entry makes no sense. Ciaphas and Annas have "high Priest" right in the name!
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Hey,

1. When it comes to identifiers for individual, should you use:

A. The identifiers given in the Reg for each individual card
B. The identifiers for the latest copy for all the cards
C. The identifiers that have been given to that individual at anytime

(A) would be the right choice here.  There are some mistakes printed (or omitted) from the physical cards.  There are also some identifiers like human, unique, and demon that are not listed on the cards because they are obvious.  So (B) will leave you with inaccurate/incomplete lists.  I'm not exactly sure what you mean by (C) but the qualifications for some identifiers have changed over the years so "at anytime" would get you some cards that are both unique and generic, or a character that both fought and did not fight in an earthly battle, etc.

Start a thread on the message board (like you did :)) so it can be discussed (hopefully) leading to either a confirmation of what the REG says or a change for the REG.

The 'Chief Priests' mentioned are all Saducess so they still gain the bonus but so do any converted High Priests that are blocking an attempt at Jerusalem.

The reason why it mentions all 3 is because Apostles came out before they had Identifiers so they had to mention that Chief Priests gained the bonus as well. Now that we have them it wouldn't actually say High Priests, just Pharisees and Saducess ( but this would be if it was made in how the game is running now.)
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game
