Okay, so I rescue with Proud Pharisee and play Deborah's Directive to band in Ehud, Agur, Jehoram, and two Israelite Archers.
If I choose Uzzah, does his ability activate before I can band with my Israelite Archers?
Since I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, can I still band after his ability activates?
Since I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, can I negate Uzzah by banding to Centurion at Calvary?
If I choose a magician with Charms on him, can he discard charms before I band to Phineas with Zeal?
See the last post...

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. No
4. Not sure what the question is.
-
Sorry, I should have clarified number 4.
I place a Zeal with Agur on Phineas and band to Phineas with Israelite Archer.
Why won't Centurion at Calvary negate the protection Uzzah just gave? It's an ongoing ability.

I think his logic for Uzzah is that he is already dead, and you can't negate him after he is dead... I'm not sure about when banding abilities activate but if they activate before CTB EC abilities then Uzzah is negated.
Your opponent couldn't use magic charms because all abilities active in battle must finish before instant abilities can be used (I.E. you banding to Phineas and Zeal activating)
-
Banding is after CtB.
-
CTB abilities happen last. Banding comes before that.
CARDS WITH MULTIPLE SPECIAL ABILITIES
When a single card has more than one special ability (including gained abilities), and an order is not specified, perform the abilities in this order:
1. First, complete all printed special abilities in the order written on the card EXCEPT those that add a character to the battle.
2. Then complete all gained abilities (gained in set-aside or on previous turn, etc.), EXCEPT those that add a character to the battle.
3. Then, complete all weapon abilities.
4. Then, complete banding abilities.
5. Last, complete choose blocker abilities.

I was about to think that saved me, but that makes my combo obsolete. Guess I get to find a new offense before Saturday.

That's the 2nd time I've made your offense obsolete. :)
Sorry, Andrew. At least you know now and not on Saturday. ;)
BTW, if you place an enhancement on Ehud, like Deb's Directive, then you could CTB first because placed enhancements are triggers. Does that help?
-
I could, if I went Gold/Red/Teal. Then I could alternate Battle Cry and Deborah's Directive on Ehud and Asahel. However, I was doubting that the combo could effectively work anyway, and adding Asahel and Battle Cry would just make it more muddled. It'd be incer if there was a CBN/CBI Gold or Red battle winner, so I could drop Phineas, Zeal, and Jehoram. Any ideas?
-
Use a Philistine D. CTB your Philistine and then use David's Triumph.
-
If I use my own Philly, KotW and Kir (the most popular CtB killers in T2) will shut it down. Plus, Ehud and Asahel can't choose my own, so it'd get more complicated.
-
Ehud's Dagger if the right ECs are available...
-
Is there another placer dude? I don't know my cards well
-
If they used Brown, that would work, but Gates of Jerusalem protects from Ehud anyway.
-
...but Gates of Jerusalem protects from Ehud anyway.
Add Jeremiah or Habakkuk?
-
I'm pretty sure everybody there is going to be using Phars anyway, so I didn't see the point of worrying about Brown. And again, it adds another color.

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to make sure this was legal...
Play The Sabbath.
RA Random Teal guy with Jehoiada's Strength placed on him. Band to Jehoram, Agur, Joiada, and two Israelite Archers. Place a Jehoiada's Strength on a random teal guy, and a battle winner on Ehud. Recur The Sabbath with Joiada. Band to Centurion at Calvary and Ehud, CtB, placed enhancement activates, and win the battle, providing they don't have one of many after the battle additions.
I think it's waay too complicated, but I'll still be happy if it works.
-
yeah it works though its still easy to lose the battle if they have lurking or any anti ctb cards lol
-
Lurking won't work. They can't interrupt it.
KotW and Kir (the most common used Anti-CtB in T2) won't work, as they say not your own.

Everything here checks out. If you can pull it off, kudos.
-
so why does the placed enhancement activate after the choose the blocker ability?
-
Placed enhancements are activated by a trigger (the Hero entering battle). It's similar to the fact that you can use the CtB from Provisions before playing an enhancement with Hidden Treasures.
