I say yes. He performed miracles with satanic power. Source:

Quote from: Revelation 19:20, KJV
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Seems reasonable, but then again if we look at how many people Paul called servants which can just as easily be translated deacon then we have about twenty deacons in the game from every brigade too...

Except that Redemption has defined Deacons as the seven guys listed in Acts 6:5. Magicians don't have such a strict definition as of yet.

I could see it either way, although I lean toward yes.

Too bad magicians weren't so well organized as the church and had one decree as to who the Magicians would be as opposed to just plain old magicians...

But, there are 6 others whom the Bible uses the word deacon/servant (same word but first one is transliteration and the second is a translation) to describe them...
Phoebe in Romans 16:1 (not a card yet)
Apollos in 1 Corinthians 3:5 (gold hero)
Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:5 (multi-color hero)
Tychicus in Ephesians 6:21 (not a card yet)
Epaphras in Colossians 1:7 (red hero)
Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:6 (white hero)

Sorry, I am not trying to hijack your thread but think this is a similar issue!
