For instance can she been to Heroes now? Even though she says Band with any evil character?

if she is converted, she cannot band to a hero. she can only band to an evil character.

In essence, if Lot's Wife is converted to a hero then her ability is useless and, for all intents and purposes, has no special ability as a hero.

but, she is 3/3 which can be good for initiative, especially if she is converted to blue, so she can use some of the genesis enhancements.

I wasn't denying she couldn't or shouldn't still be used. I was referring to Jeremy's question about her special ability converting.

Although I think HHI will ignore her, because she is a hero that has a banding ability. That appears to be the case based on a strict reading of the REG.

Is this confirmed? This used to be ruled that the character was considered to not have the ability. However, that was a long time ago.

Here's the REG entry:
* Special abilities on Heroes (and good weapons) that have been converted to Evil Characters (and evil weapons)
can never activate.
* Special abilities on Evil Characters (and evil weapons) that have been converted to Heroes (and good weapons)
may activate, except for special abilities that specifically target Heroes when the card is at face value.

The wording choice would make it seem to me like the ability is still present, it just doesn't work.

I know what the REG says. I am asking for an Elder to confirm the suggested ruling, since this is different from older rulings. I just want to be sure, since I would have still ruled the old way.

I believe jmhartz is correct though I certainly wouldn't fault anyone who ruled it the other way.

It's mostly due to the outdated wording of HHI, but Lot's Wife is always a "banding card" regardless if she's an EC, a Hero or captured character. When she's converted, she becomes a "good banding card" which HHI says has no effect.

A better example is Window of Narrow Light since there's no "old wording" there. There's a difference between having a converted ability that doesn't work and the evil ability going away entirely (and the rulings have always been with the former).
