yes cause cbp is not the same as cbn you can negate a cbp enhancement after it is played cbp only means it works vs fbtn characters that have happened before

prevent = before
negate = after

No. The enhancement doesn't resume.

If you just need an elder to confirm that the way CBP works in Redemption is insane, then I'm your man.

If you rather need an Elder, then just be patient, for one will come along.

well, in the new REG is says that a CBP card can never gain prevented status. My understanding was that negate- interrupts and then prevents. Thus I don't see why I don't get why I resumes...

*mind you, this is mostly speculation, as I have never played this way

also, then can you negate a CBI (I assume not, because negate is an interrupt ability)

You cannot negate a CBI AFTER it is played. You can negate it BEFORE it is played.

IE: RA Jacob. Opponent blocks, plays CBI enh. I play Abe's Servant. Enhancement still works.
IE: RA Jacob, play Abe's Servant before battle. CBP enhancements would work, but not CBI.

It is your understanding of negate that is incorrect, because of old wording in the rulebook and REG.

Negate does not equal interrupt + prevent anymore.

CBP can be interrupted/negated (by a card played after it), but not prevented/negated (by a card played before it).
CBI can be prevented/negated (by a card played before it), but not interrupted/negated (by a card played after it).
CBN can not interrupted/negated (by a card played after it) or prevented/negated (by a card played before it).

A negate that is played before another card prevent/negates it until the end of the phase.
A negate that is played after another card interrupt/negates it until the end of the phase (after which it never activates).

thanks, that helped :)
