Interrupt and end the Battle Question

So here is the Situation.

I make a Rescue attempt with Abiathar(SA irrelevant).  My opponent blocks with Potiphar(SA irrelevant).  I play Zeal for the Lord target Potiphar and some other EC (irrelevant to the issue at hand), he plays Egyptian Horse followed by Wonders Forgotten.  What happens?  I am under the impression that playing Wonders forgotten forces battle resolution, and since Zeal was not negated, just interrupted, it would still win me the battle, is this correct?  If it is not correct then what happens?

Here are the relevant Cards SA's:

Egyptian Horses

Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: Weapon • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and draw two cards. If used by an Egyptian (except an archer), you may play an evil Enhancement. • Attributes: Depicts a Weapon • Identifiers: OT, Depicts a Weapon • Verse: Exodus 14:9 • Availability: Rock of Ages (Set 17)

Zeal for the Lord

Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Teal • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and discard two Evil Characters of different brigades. Cannot be negated if used by Phinehas, son of Eleazar. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Numbers 25:11 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Rare)

Hmm, based on the archer + end the battle ruling I would say that acts as a negate.

It was said before that using Assyrian archers ability to discard a hero in territory, followed up with 2kh and forgotten history would stop the self-discard ability on the archer from completing, and allow him to live.

So, I say ITB + End the Battle is essentially a negate, as that forces the battle into battle resolution mode before the interrupt ends.

Lambo is correct. No ability can occur during battle resolution unless explicitly stated. When WF forces the battle into battle resolution, Zeal is a pending ability that can no longer take place. End result: Potiphar wins and Abiathar loses by numbers.

What happens to Zeal?  Does it go back to hand or is it discarded.

It's discarded. The ability was interrupted, but the enhancement was still played.

and let me guess, it was not codified into the REG.

Could someone involved in the ruling possibly restate it here?

The ruling is as follows.
The ability was interrupted but the battle ended before it could reactivate.

I'm not sure what you are looking for. The rulebook defines "interrupt" and "battle resolution." Zeal does not reactivate in battle resolution because the rulebook says so.
