I need clarification on this ability. In reading the REG entry about it I'm still a bit confused. So for a practical example, if I use Syntyche and Eudia would their increase be permanent or last until the end of phase?

It's permanent! I have a philippi deck, and when it works well, i can get my clemet to around 14/14-16/16 evey game! super powerful!

Increase or decrease abilities are permanent by default. However, sometimes there is a specified duration ("until end of turn" or "while in battle") or a dynamic increase/decrease (decrease Heroes by X/X where X is # of their good brigades).

Thanks gents. I was playing it as permanent, and I interpreted a couple of lines in the REG as it being permanent, but there were a couple of other entries that made it unclear to me, such as those X variables you mentioned, Justin.
