If multiple people in multi-player are playing with NT females, and let's just say that 3 players each have the SAME 3 NT females in play when Susanna is used, how many cards does she look at?

Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: White • Ability: 1 / X • Class: • Special Ability: Look at the top X cards of deck. May add one to hand. Place the rest beneath deck. Cannot be negated. • Play As: Search the top X cards of deck for any one card. Holder may place it in hand. Place the rest beneath deck. Cannot be negated. • Identifiers: NT Female Human, X = the number of female N.T. Heroes in play. • Verse: Luke 8:3 • Availability: Thesaurus ex Preteritus booster packs ()

I see no reason that her check (or any other check) would care how many of the same card were counted. They may be the same but they are still legally in play so they do the should count.

A similar situation is playing off Head of Gold. If both players are useing Babs then head of Gold counts all the Babs in play, even if there are multiple uniques.

You may be overthinking this Ken. These situations are looking for cards, not actual people. Duplicate rules are not in effect when the cards are in different territories. The fact that you are even asking this question indicates this reality.

Frankly I find it more disturbing that so many people in your group are playing Garden Tomb.  ;)

That would've the absolute lamest game ever!

I walk by you, your turn. You walk by him, him's turn. Him walks by me. Rinse wash and repeat.

We played a couple 5-person games Saturday, and 3 had The Garden Tomb. However, it didn't even matter in many of the games because there were so many territories with defenses, so often the rescue attempt would be: "I'm ignoring everything... except gold, gray, black, and pale green..." ;)

Is Susanna considered a search ability?

Nope, I believe it was determined to be a reveal ability.

It's not a Reveal ability, it's a Look ability (the other players do not see the cards).  And both are not Searches, so Susanna gets around Nazareth and Hezzy's Ring.

Play As =/= Errata

Disregard all Play as disguised as an errata.

Look =/= Search.

Did I get it all? :)

It was actually 3 Gardenciples decks, and mine was the only traditional variety (i.e.: speed defense; the other two had actual defenses).

Definitely lead to some interesting games.
