R.a. Deborah with JTower up I block with potiphar's wife and play pagan sacrafices.

Next turn would it be cbn since it was placed on a prior turn?

What if I add asherah pole?

In my opinion...it would not be cbn, in the same way that an evil weapon would not be cbn if you played it on a previous turn. (even with asherah pole up when you played it.)
Life is what you make of it.

Ash Pole only effects while the battle is going on. Also, Pagan Sacrifices isn't a gained ability, more of a triggered instant ability. Kinda like how hidden treasures activates each turn, so does pagan sacrifices.

In general I don't think this would work, you'd need to find another way to get around jtower first.

Placed enhancements are not a valid target for negate abilities following the turn they were played.  That doesn't mean they gain "cannot be negated" status.  JT would prevent the discard.

Adding Ashera Pole to the mix would only give it CBN during that battle.  It also wouldn't get around JT.

Sorry.  :(

Hey,

If Asherah Pole is active, then it would get past Jerusalem Tower.  Asherah Pole make's it not negated during the battle phase, and abilities that activated on a previous phases cannot be negated which would keep it from being negated after that.  If Asherah Pole is not active then Jerusalem Tower prevents it during battle and keeps it from ever happening on turns after that.

...I think...

Issue, it is only PLACED during the battle phase, no d/cing happens to trigger JT. So by the time it goes off on JT's owner's turn it would be cbn because it was placed last time

Hey,

Judas Iscariot's ability activates during the battle and that one ability remains active and affecting the game for every future phase of the game.  Pagan Sacrifices is the same way.  The ability activates during the battle and everything the ability is going to do activates and is defined in that battle.  In phases thereafter it is simply carrying that ability out.  So during the battle after it places itself it tries to activates the "discard from top of draw pile part of it's effect" on a delayed trigger, but it's still a discard from deck effect so Jerusalem Tower stops it, even though it isn't trying to happen right away.

I really was tired. Discarding happened that shouldn't have. I demand a new game. Wait I agreed to play it that way while waiting for an answer. OK, I still demand a new game.   ;D
