Judas' Plot and New Jerusalem

If Judas' Plot is used to instead a Son of God. Would the New Jerusalem played with the SoG still work? The only reason I see that it wouldn't work is because of the word "additional" in New Jerusalem.

Judas’ Plot (Di)

Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: Territory • Special Ability: Place on your N.T. human Evil Character: If an opponent's good Dominant rescues or discards a card, discard this Enhancement instead to place that Dominant under deck. Protect bearer from conversion. • Identifiers: None

New Jerusalem (P)

Type: Lamb • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Play this card simultaneously with the Son of God card and rescue any additional Lost Soul in play. • Identifiers: None

I would agree that it wouldn't work bc of the "additional" wording on NJ

I can't find previous threads with the search being down, but I'm pretty sure the ruling is that NJ still rescues a soul even if SoG is insteaded (because you still played it with SoG).

I agree, additional doesn't really have a meaning there, it was merely explaining that you are now rescuing 2 LS's instead of one.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

Ok if that is the ruling but based off the wording I would say additional is a condition that means if you rescue one with SoG then rescue the additional with NJ

And sense when did intention trump wording?  ::)
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Because it doesnt require SoG to work, just to be played at the same time. 'aditionally' has no meaning, just like 'must' has no meaning.

If you're rescuing 0 souls and can rescue an additional soul, you rescue 1 soul.  Logic problem solved :)

The condition for the rescue with NJ is "if played with SoG".  Even though SoG is insteaded (meaning that the rescue never actually happened by the definition of instead), the condition for an additional rescue (even if it is just one instead of zero) is met and NJ can rescue a soul.

right...it's like the whole burial/lost soul thing.  If your rescuing with sog/nj and ur opponent uses a burial, you still get one.  So I would agree that NJ still works in what your talking about.

You cannot play Burial in response to SoG/NJ.  Dominants are CBN by their nature.  And if you played them without legal targets (in the case of dominant slapjack and Burial won, say), the rules allow you to pick them up.  This scenario cannot happen.
