Immunity Question (s)

When you are attacking someone that is immune to you. What can you do to them? Examples: shuffle, set-aside, return to hand, discard, capture, ignore, repel, convert, etc etc etc..... Does immunity stop them from being affected AT ALL by the character (and enhancements played on that character) they are fighting?

if they come in immune you have to interrupt the immunity before you can do anything to them...other wise you can't affect them.

Scenario...

PoC versus my PotW (wa). we're immune to each other. he passes initiative to me. Can I play demonic mist and discard a card from his hand?

double immunity is a stale mate. And you can do anything that doesn't target that character unless you interrupt the immunity

is discarding a card from hand considered targeting that character? what about capturing a character from that person's territory?

No and no.  You can't target that character (except for interrupts/negates and Plague of Frogs, which specifies regardless of immunity), but their hand, deck, territory, etc. (everything but that character) is fair game.

when you attack with a lone hero, and your opponent block with spirit of temptation banded to emperor nero, then you play several no-SA enhancements and have greater numbers. I understand that Nero doesn't get discarded, but does spirit of temptation?

If you have at least as much strength (*/) than the evil characters do toughness (/*), the non-immune ECs will be discarded.  In this case, assuming no EEs in battle, if you have at least 11 toughness, Spirit of Temptation would be discarded.

Death of Firstborn negates all Immunity, too, so you have to be careful with that one...

Ignore works the same way, if I'm not mistaken.

yeah because ignore means they are going past you like you aren't there. Until you negate the ignore you can do anything your heart desires.  ;D

Yes, because you have infinite initiative (you are being "bypassed", essentially) to play whatever you want to get rid of their other Heroes or (in the case of deck-discard) discard half their deck.
