Title: Immunity

I read earlier where there was a RA between the Widow and the (5/6) Red Dragon that is "immune to human heroes."
The post said that if the Widow played Authority of Christ "All Evil Characters in play must be discarded" that the Red Dragon is discarded.
How can that be possible if the Red Dragon is immune to the human?  Does the Widow not have to interrupt the ability, and then discard the dragon?

As far as I know, if Widow interrupts the battle and then plays AOC, then red dragon is toast.
