Title: immune/protect
Post by: sepjazzwarrior on February 18, 2017, 09:26:40 PM
Hello, so I was wondering what the difference was between immune and protect is?  I heard somewhere that they have been made one and the same, any truth to that?  Thanks

That is correct. They were pretty much the same thing anyways, now it's just official.

so does that mean that the kings sword artifact now negates protect abilities as well?

Does "regards of protection" effects immunity too? So Immune = Protect and Ignore = Repel?

Thanks.

Yes, if you play a card that says "regardless of protection" then it by-passes protection/immunity on a card it's targeting. For example, if clay Lydia is in battle part of her ability reads "protected from capture." If she is blocked and the blocker plays the evil enhancement Arrest in Jerusalem "Regardless of protection, capture a hero," then Lydia can be captured.

Yes, protect = Immunity, and Ignore = Repel. "Has no effect" is also an Ignore ability. For more info on these topics check out the REG.
