Missionaries in a deck

So I am building my first type 1 deck in probably two years (and first deck at all in at least a year) and I want to be sure I'm doing this right.  I've built a Phillipi deck based obviously around Clement.  He is only truly good if all heroes are Phillipi heroes.  So I know that missionaries gain the church identifier of the church most present in your territory.  So the first deck I built has Peter and John in it.  So the question I have is this: one game I played I pulled Peter and John very quickly, they are both missionaries but also have the Jerusalem church identifier.  So does that mean I have to get at least 3 Phillipi heroes in play before Clement triggers?

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Missionaries only gain the church identifier of the church with the most Heroes in play. If you play Peter (Jerusalem), John (Jerusalem) and Clement (Philippi) then Jerusalem has the most, meaning Peter and John do not gain the Philippi identifier. If you put Euodia and Syntyche in play, now you have 3 Philippi Heroes so, being missionaries, Peter and John join the church giving you 5 total Philippi Heroes and making all your Heroes Philippi.

Does that make sense?

Yep, this is exactly how I thought it worked!

Hey,

When you're counting which church you have most of, do you count missionaries?

For example, I have Euodia and Syntyche in play.  I play Peter.  I have one Jerusalem Hero and two Philippi heroes, so Peter counts as a Philippi hero.  Then I play John.  I have two Jerusalem Heroes, do I have two Philippi heroes or three?

Tschow,

Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly
