Imitating Evil from RoJ does not say "until the end of battle". Doesn't that mean it stays an Evil Character?

Imitating Evil- Evil Character may band to a Demon. Imitating Evil becomes a generic copy of that Demon. Cannot be negated.

No. Copy abilities only last until the card with the copy ability leaves the Field of Battle, unless a different duration is specified.
