I've been unknowingly using a second edition rule book to answer all my ruling needs, but I see that its kinda outdated especially when it comes to fortresses. 
I was wondering what the rules are in regards to fortresses like Kerith Ravine and other ones that allow heroes to be put in them. 
Like, when exactly can I put heroes in them?
Can I put one in there, and in the same phase take it out again if I change my mind?
If I have a fortress in play holding heroes, will a band all heroes into battle enhancement remove those people from the fortress?
Also can I band to heroes that are inside fortresses?
How many fortress cards am I allowed per deck?  1 because it looks multicolored?  I don't know any of these answers please help.

Heroes can be put in and taken out of fortresses during the prep phase. You can put one in such a fort, and take it out in the same phase (one popular play is to dump a bunch of Disciples in Fishing Boat, play Pentecost on one remaining in play, then take them all out). As far as I know, as long a fortress is in play, you can band/exchange to any heroes in that fortress. You can have as many forts as you want in your deck, and as many as you want in play, provided you have no duplicates.

Ok awesome.  Also, how does the Promo Goshen Work?  Is it like a Chamber of Angels for Genesis, Exodus Heroes if they get defeated in a battle of numbers?
Can other heroes be put in it?
And say if I have Gates of Samaria in play and I somehow fetch a Samaria site from my deck.  Would I be able to instantly zap a character with the -6/-6 proc ability of the fortress, provided I have an evil king of Israel in play?
Is when I can tinker with placing heroes in and out of fortresses during site maintenance phase, or is it sometime else?
