Title: Ignoring Question

When a Character is ignoring a specific brigade, does that mean that multicolored characters are completely ignored as well?

More specifically: If my opponent makes a rescue attempt with a character ignoring grey, can I block with Self?

Yes, the multi-color includes the ignored the color and therefore is ignored.

In your example, Self would be ignored.
