Title: Ignore/banding question
Post by: slugfencer on January 06, 2009, 01:55:27 PM
Blue Genesis 6/5 hero bands to 10/10 non-Genesis hero and makes a rescue attempt.
Blocked by 10/10 brown EC who bands to a 10/10 orange EC.
Hero's initiative so they play Reuben's Torn Clothes and choose to ignore Orange.
The orange EC could play an interrupt, However, there is no interrupt to play, so the good guys win (none discarded) and the brown EC is discarded, but the orange EC is not.
Is this correct? Thanks!

Reuben’s Torn Clothes
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Blue • Ability: 1 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: Negate all evil immunity. All Genesis Heroes ignore an evil brigade of your choice. •

from the REG on ignore---If some of a player’s characters in battle are ignored (but not all), the ignored character contribute (0/0) to the battle when determining initiative and battle outcome. These numbers cannot be raised. Unless an interrupt card is played, the ignored characters are considered defeated at the end of  battle, but are not discarded.

That seems right to me.  The Orange EC would return and the brown EC would die.

Although I would think that the orange EC could still target the 10/10 non-Genesis hero, since RTC only grants the ignore to Genesis heroes.

I agree with Tsavong. But then who would have initiative?

The orange ec can play w/e he'd like doesn't have to be an itb/negate. It'd be the orange ec's init due to ignore. I believe. im not 100% sure on the non gen hero though...

after RTC is played, the numbers should look something like this...

16/15 vs 10/10

So I think it would definitely be the EC's turn.
