I have 6 Disciples in my fishing boat. On my upkeep phase, I underdeck one in order to draw. How many do I get to draw?

Fishing Boat - Set this aside. Each upkeep, you may place a Hero from here beneath your deck to draw X or to give your disciples access to all Sites this turn. X = # of your Heroes here.

5. X updates instantly and once you put one under you have 5 left.

Can you place more than one hero under deck? Or is that ability limited to once per upkeep?

Fishing Boat is limited to once per upkeep.

Related to that- are you limited to when you can place disciples IN the boat? i.e. Can you place a hero that you drew during a rescue attempt there after the battle phase?

No. Disciples can only be placed in the Boat during prep phase.
