Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: 0 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: You may capture this character to opponent's Land of Bondage to search your discard pile for a Genesis character (or a Genesis Artifact) and add your Genesis character to the battle. If blocking, can I add a hero to the battle?
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

No, it's not a CTR ability, but it does work when he's converted to a Hero. ECs never add Heroes to their side of the battle. Heroes never add ECs to their side of the battle. This is the same reason you're not allowed to use GoH in this manner.

But the wording of this card (and its Play As) don't say "to your side of battle," but a generic "to battle." So why couldn't a hero be added to your opponent's side of the battle? (And yes, there is circumstances where it would make sense.)

It's a game rule. Cards do not add cards of opposite alignment to battle unless specifically stated.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

OK, I accept that. Just for my reference, where is that game rule stated?

Hopefully it's in the new REG.

There is a mention of "Add to Battle" under the reference for Pharaoh's Cupbearer, but there is no link with it and I don't see it listed in the abilities list on the side, nor in the rulebook description of battle. This needs to be added to the REG, if it's not there. If it is, could someone tell me where it is? (I'm not disputing the rule, just want to know where it's spelled out if I'm asked the same question.)

I also noticed that on some entries in the rulebook "mandatory" is misspelled as "manditory" (probably a typo). Not major, but it should be fixed eventually.
