Ok. So restrict stops the person from actually doing the ability but doesn't negate it but stops it from happening?

Ex:

I RA W@TW and you have Hezzy's Ring up which is a protect restrict, I can't search your deck for a ls & ec but the ability isn't being negated.

Is this correct?

Just wanna make sure. So restricts still work against cbn. That is col but that kind of brings the effectiveness down on some cbn sa's but I agree with this decision.

That's a bad thing?

It is good for consistity but not for cbn. I was one of the few who did a protest for it to be ruled the same as jt.

Targets evil characters so it is a protect.

If it was worded this way "Opponent may not convert any evil characters, then it would be a restrict because it is restricting the opponent from doing something.
