Arrogance (Pa)
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Holder may play as many evil enhancements as desired. Initiative passes when holder is done playing enhancements. • Play As: Holder may play as many evil enhancements as desired [play an enhancement]. Initiative passes when holder is done playing enhancements. • Identifiers: OT, Depicts a Weapon, Connected with David • Verse: I Samuel 17:43-44 • Availability: Patriarchs booster packs (Rare)

If I block with Self play Arrogance. Can I play Wrath of Satan then play one of the battle ending enhancements?

I don't think you can but Im just curious.

Is there a reason you can't?
I think you could unless you already defeated the hero with the Wrath.

All Arrogance says is that initiative passes when you are DONE playing enhancements. If you're done playing after Wrath, then you can't play ETB enhancements. If you're done after the ETB enhancements, I see no evidence that you can't do that.

this has already been brought up not too long ago and it was ruled that intiative passed when the hero was losing in battle but i dont agree. Ill go find it.

I just realized something, although it probably doesn't matter
If you play Arrogance and don't play any enhancements even if you're losing initative will pass.

On Topic, It was ruled for me a while ago that when you play Arrogance, you play any number of enhancements you want. Those enhancements activate one at a time and after the last one finishes initative passed.
Not sure how relevant this is but, if that ruling is correct then Wrath + End the battle works.

thats the way it looks. Also from what i gathered you can only play cards that were in your hand unless drawn by dream abilities but ive seen no specific cards asked per example and i know this line of thinking is for some sort of combo deck so ill present one...

I play Arrogance (and can only play cards found in hand) i play Mask of Worldliness, Momentum Change, False Peace x2 but i cant play cards searched for correct?

You have to decide you're done playing enhancements with arrogance before you would search, so you cannot use searched / drawn enhancements.

it looked like to me that you could play a drawn enhancement aka end the battle card with dream.

Except that when you play arrogance, it targets the cards that you will play.  it cannot target cards that are not in your hand.  You can play dream as your last card and then play another enhancement based on the cards drawn by dream if you want but not a drawn card on arrogance.

Why not? Dream interrupts Arogance's ongoing ability to give you initiative, so you can play any one card not in your hand when Arrogance was played off of Dream.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

ok i am confused are we playing arrogance off of dream or dream off of arrogance, or are you saying that it does not make a difference due to the interrupt?

That it doesn't matter. If you throw Dream in the middle of Arrogance, you can still use one of the cards you drew because Dream interrupts Arrogance and lets you play, then Arrogance kicks back in, re-targeting since it targets a place (hand).

@ smokey yes, until they complete, they cannot be interrupted but the effects of any cards played can be interrupted (but the card itself cannot be unplayed).

@ Pol.  I see where you are going. and I would agree with you.   Play arrogance  a couple of cards and then play dream d3 and then play next and when Arrogance kicks back in it has more cards to target.  I would agree with that.

You just contradicted yourself.

Arrogance (Pa)
Play As: Holder may play as many evil enhancements as desired [play an enhancement]. Initiative passes when holder is done playing enhancements.

Arrogance is an unlimited Play an enhancement ability, so it CBI by the enhancements you play.

ooooh, very good.  Now I am wondering if you can even play dream on arrogance.....

I would be willing to say that th3 d3 and play next of dream would work since that is what you wanted to do anyway, but that, since arrogance could not be interrupted until after its ability is complete, that you would still be limited to cards you had in your hand when you played arrogance, (in other words no cards drawn by dream could be played on arrogance, only one drawn from dream can be played on the play next of dream

The playing of Enhancements is CBI, but that doesn't make all abilities associated with Play an Enhancement CBI.

However, the play-as (while arguably errata, we won't get into that) will still allow for Dream to play an Enhancement drawn. When you play with Dream, you're using the Play Next ability on Dream, not on Arrogance, so you can play a card you just drew.

Yeah that is what I said, what I was clarifying was that Arrogance does not "re-aquire" targets due to being interuppted by dream.  You can play one of the three drawn on dream but you cannot play one of the three drawn on arrogance.
