Ok guys, I think I know what happens here, but do want to be sure. If player A makes a ra with Moses (who negates all special abilities on all cards but him) and they have Holy of Holies activated (which prevents all special abilities on characters which contain the words "interrupt", "negate", and "prevent" in them) and I block and play Lying Unto God (which negates and discards an artifact), I think Holy of Holies becomes discarded but Moses' ability doesn't activate because it is not a continuous ability and therefore no weird issues come up with his ability negating the ability on Lying Unto God and bringing back Holy of Holies and then HoH prevents Moses' ability again and so forth. Is that right?

Holy of Holies was given errata so that all versions are "Cannot be negated." In this scenario, Holy of Holies would be discarded but not negated.

That is certainly correct due to the erratas. I suppose a better example for what he was trying to find out is Moses gets blocked by King of Tyrus and somehow during the battle Moses is negated. KoT is not then negating everything, since he was prevented at the time of activation. Correct?

This came up a couple of months ago in this thread: http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/punisher-ls/ (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/punisher-ls/)
...which references this thread: http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/am-slave-vs-ignore/ (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/am-slave-vs-ignore/)
...which was ruled on by Gabe, but some feel was left hanging. Personally, I think it is completely logical that ongoing abilities are active if their negator is negated, and hence would rule in your situation above that KoT would be active, since his Prevent ability is ongoing. This is consistent with Gabe's ruling in the second thread above.
But INE, so hopefully one of them will shed some light on this.

It's also consistent with the reason HoH was given the CBN errata in the first place. ;)

Does rulings such as those mean that you cant use Foreign Sword to negate a card that would be negating a band prior to the band activating? Example is Tower of thebez is active and you foreign sword it off a red bander, does that mean you can band?

Banding is an instant ability, so either it isn't negated when it tries to happen, so it happens, or it is negated, so it doesn't happen. In the "order of operations" for special abilities, weapons activate before banding, so if you had Foreign Sword on Ishmaiah, and chose to negate Tower, you would be able to band with him.
If banding happened before weapons, you couldn't band, even though Tower was negated.
