ok, say I activate Covenant of David, my father has House Hold Idols activated. he plays Lying unto God in the middle of battle, and I have Jacob banded to Seraph (gathered to Captain), Seraph banded to Haggai (and gathered to King Hiram) and Haggai is banded to Joiada.

what happens?

My guess is you get ignored, but because your in battle, you can play anything, but you can't target whoever, like a normal ignore.

Well, Idk...the artifact is ignoring you so...does everyone ignore you? Including yourself? so you couldn't target yourself? That must be odd to ignore yourself.

Hey,

Your banding cards (Jacob, Seraph, anyone gathered, etc) would be ignored by HHI.  So they could not target HHI.  They remain in battle but do not help you to win the battle, but you can still play enhancements on them.  Your non-banding cards (Captain, and whoever else, I don't know all the cards in your question off the top of my head) would still be able to win the battle for you.
