If you Use lay down you life and the hero gets captured Can you Use LDyL to protect that captured Hero from being discarded?

Lay Down Your Life (Di)
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Multicolor • Ability: None • Class: Territory • Special Ability: Place on your N.T. human Hero: If a N.T. human Hero is discarded (and this one is not), you may discard this card and bearer instead. • Identifiers: None • Verse: John 15:13 • Availability: Disciples booster packs ()

Also How does LDyL Work with J's Cov?
Josiah's Covenant (Ki)
Type: Covenant • Brigade: Purple • Ability: 3 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Protect all Heroes in player's territory from harm or negative effect. • Identifiers: None • Verse: II Kings 23:3 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Common)

And Lastly If The Protected Hero is being discarded because it was in a discarded Fort . is it protected? if so Wheres it Go?

I'm not sure about the first or third, but the second one I have a guess. "Harm and negative effect", I believe, are considered to be effects of cards not of the same alignment. Since LDYL is the same alignment as the hero it's on, I think it could still discard itself and the hero it's on even with J's Covenant active since LDYL is doing the discarding of that hero, not the discard ability targeting the other hero.

Rephrase the questions please. Idk what they are.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

If a card is captured, then you're not discarding it.  So if it's not discarded, LDYL does not apply to the situation.

Josiah's Covenant protects the card from harm, so you can't even target it with any effect that would harm it, such as discard.  So if it's not discarded, LDYL does not apply to the situation.

Obviously, since you wrote it.

The answer to the first question is No.
The answer to the second question is, just like it works without it.
The answer to the third question is No.

First of all, we can solve this problem without insulting people's intelligence.

Second of all, LDYL is used to save a Hero that is being discarded.  Once a character is captured, it becomes a Lost Soul.  It is also treated as a Captured Character (Hero), which is really just a state to be targeted by cards that say to do stuff with Captured Heroes.

The point is, the captured character is no longer a Hero, so it is not a card you can save with LDYL.

What if the hero being discarded is in battle and, thus, not protected by J's Covenant? Can you discard LDYL and the hero it's on then?

^That's how I took the question when I tried answering it.

Well, if the Hero is not protected, then it's being discarded.  If it's being discarded, you can blow up LDYL instead.
