The new set "The Early Church" has introduced some territory class characters that activate once they hit the field. So one of your wishes has already been granted!
Could you do this with the Women's version of Jairus Daughter because she heals herself?
Heal enhancements can be played (in a sense) to discard pile to heal a hero or EC who discarded that turn. The character would not heal itself because the ability never activated sense the (wo) version never entered battle either.
