I RA with TGT trio. My opponent blocks with Nebby, searches for King Zimri, and discards Dance of Death to discard all cards in battle. I currently have Angel of Warning in my territory and He is Risen in my hand. What do I do, and what happens. I'm not exactly sure how these cards will affect each other....
King Zimri (Ki)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: 4 / 3 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Discard King Elah. Holder may discard a crimson enhancement from hand to discard all cards in battle. Discard King Zimri after one block. • Play As: Discard one King Elah in play. Holder may discard a crimson enhancement from hand to discard all cards in battle. Discard King Zimri after one block. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, King (Israel), Royalty, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: I Kings 16:15 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Uncommon)
'He Is Risen' (RA)
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: White • Ability: 3 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and set aside X Evil Characters for X turns. You may add a N.T. angel to battle. • Play As: Interrupt the battle and set aside X Evil Characters for X turns. You may band a N.T. angel into battle. • Identifiers: NT, X = the number of your N.T. female Heroes in play. • Verse: Matthew 28:6 • Availability: Rock of Ages booster packs (None)

Since you are losing the battle, He is Risen would interrupt the battle and set aside 3 ECs of your choice for 3 turns (assuming you had no NT females in territory). Then, you could band Angel of Warning into battle and use his ability. After that, your opponent would have initiative to interrupt/negate He is Risen if they have the card(s) to do it.
-
the EE that was discarded per Zimri's SA.... does it return to opponents hand?
-
Yep, asuming of course that he doesn't negate He is Risen.
-
thanks!!!

Nebby can search for Belshazzar's Banquet.... ;)
Nebby + Belly's Banquet >>>>>>>>>> Uzzah + art >>>>>>>>>>> Nebby + King Zim + Enh

toss in a torment.

If TGT was in play and your opponent had a Redeemed Soul (so TGT worked) and there were few enough Crimson ECs in play, I think you could set aside the Crimson ECs except Zimri to activate the ignore on TGT, stopping his ability that way.

That would be the best alternative, yeah. That way, he'd end up discarding only himself and you'd walk in for a Lost Soul, lol.

If you Discard a Negate with Zimri's ability, they play He Is Risen, can you then use that Negate to Negate He Is Risen?
-
I think that depends on whether or not his ability kicks back in. If you try to discard him, you could use that negate. If you interrupt his ability and ignore him, it may go immediately back to the discard pile.

I don't see why not, but then Zimri would fizzle as the card associated with his effect is no longer discard-able.
-
That doesn't sound right to me.
-
Well, if you use the card you had discarded, then you no longer have fulfilled or can fulfill the cost, so you shouldn't get the benefit.
