High Priest's Maid

Special Ability: You may set aside a N.T. human for three turns. If you do, remove this card from the game after battle.

So if I play an interrupt, would it also interrupt the special ability on the Maid?

If you played an interrupt the battle card, it would definitely interrupt Maid's removing herself from the game.  I'm not sure about the set aside ability though.  I think that part is instant, even though the set aside is "ongoing".

Remember, interrupt the battle only interrupts ongoing abilities, not instant abilities.

Ok, I am just figuring out that if I play with a N.T. white female hero deck, then there is not much I can do about it then!?!?

you can interrupt it because it is removing you from battle (if used against a hero in battle).

Interrupt the battle works on ongoing abilities AND the last instant ability played (if it was played by an opponent). The only thing is getting initiative to play the interrupt which can happen by numbers or, as MKC said, removal from battle by an opponent.

Almost.  ITB interrupts the following:

1.  All ongoing abilities
2.  All abilities causing removal of your character from battle.
3.  The last enhancement if played by opponent.

So if they were trying to do it on my only N.T. hero in battle, then I can interrupt her ability

Yes, because that ability is removing you from battle. You could either negate or interrupt the battle.

Political Savvy

Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Black • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and return a human Evil Character to owner's hand. • Identifiers: None • Verse: I Kings 1:5 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Common)

so if i remove a hero in territory can i play this card so i dont get removed?
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

I thought it was ruled that you don't get to Interrupt your own ability that is causing your removal.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I think since this is a delayed removal, if you remove your character before it triggers then you're safe. The times you cannot interrupt your own removal is like Samson's Sacrifice-type cards.

Exactly. HPM isn't causing her own removal until after the battle. For a similar ruling, see Assyrian Archer/2k Horses/Forgotten History combo. The hero discard is instant, so it can't be interrupted by ITB cards, but the archer discard is a delayed trigger, which is ongoing, and can be interrupted by an ITB card.

Ah, I was assuming that HPM was removing the only Hero in battle.
